Clendaniel
has spent 40 yrs. doing theatrical, public relations & travel photography
assignments in America, Great Britain, France & Russia. Her images have been
published & exhibited worldwide.
Nancy began by snapping Sonny &
Cher in 1965 with her mum’s box brownie. A former portrait painter &
self-taught photographer, she honed her craft by doing rehearsal stills at Long
Wharf Theatre, in New Haven, CT. In 1978, she landed her 1st job as House photographer
for the St. Nicholas Theatre in Chicago, with David Mamet as Playwright-in-Residence;
followed by serving as Staff photographer for John Davidson’s - Singer's
Summer Camp, on Catalina Island.
In 1980, Nancy moved to Hollywood to
work as House photographer for the Beverly Theatre, in Beverly Hills, which launched
her career in the music industry. In addition to working on HBO & studio projects
with The Manhattan Transfer, Willie Dixon, John Mayall, Tina Turner and Gallagher.
Nancy spent a decade working as personal photographer for Wolfman Jack & KRLA
Radio.
From 1987-2000, Nancy served as the Director of Women In Photography
and remains a Charter Member.
Nancy moved to Seattle in 1990 where she
continues to accept photo assignments.
