Susan Kullmann | Women In Photograpy International

Susan Kullmann, a Claremont, CA based photographer, also works to give people the confidence and knowledge they need to make the leap into the world of modern technology. Blessed Are These Hands, her current project (in collaboration with Marvelle Thompson) is a photographic essay that illustrates the breadth of modern American women’s spirituality and will be published as a book. Photos of women’s hands holding something that represents her deepest values, with their commentary, create a compilation that speaks about the evocative images from each woman’s viewpoint. A PhD historian, Susan views the photographic essay as an historical document, an artistic record of early 21st-century women's values.
