Sophia has a deeply spiritual and intuitive nature that comes forth in her artistic work.  Her intention is to capture the spiritual essence within each work, whether it is a painting, digital creation, or photograph. Thirteen years ago an accident deepened her connection to life and expanded her artistic expression by constricting her physical body. With limited use of her arms and hands, she began experimenting with the camera and computer. This gave birth to a landscape of creative ability and new artistic avenues. Through alternative healing modalities and mediation, Sophia’s spiritual connection expanded her creative abilities, giving rise to work that speaks directly to the soul.  Within her meditations, she pre-visualizes with inner eyes how she wishes to perceive the world. Then finds those inner images through her lense. Her photographs are a tribute of healing, hope and joy. Sophia is a self-taught artist, following her passion for color, texture and design.
