My photographs are interpretations of how I view the world rather than a mirror image of it; unconcerned with depiction of detail, I focus on the total effect of texture & color to capture the essence of a scene and to create a slightly off-balance view of reality. For over 20 years I’ve been photographing a range of subject matter that spans all realms of nature as well as the urban landscape. I have taught at the college level and previously owned MJH Photography in Malibu, Ca. specializing in portraiture. I now focus on fine art photography and exhibit my work in Los Angeles area galleries.
