Images and ideas come to me upon waking from sleep; they pull me in various directions and infuse my mind with ideas that are not "mine." Sometimes I am moved to shoot a particular self portrait or to travel to a location where I know I’ll find opportunities for capturing a particular look or feeling. No matter what place or aspect of myself I record, I find that I continually create photographs characterized by simplicity, beauty, mood, and intimacy.
