Photographer & art historian, Joan's style has been described as decisive moment meets Jan Vermeer. After working for 12+ years as J. Paul Getty Museum Asst. Curator of Photographs, she's been winning awards as a full-time photo teacher in LA's inner city since 1999. At Bell HS- in a Latino community near East LA -she's pioneering new programs in Advanced Placement Digital Photography.
