"Ferro
began her career in the mid 1970's. Her fine art self-portrait work has been published
in international publications Zoom, French Photo and Japan's Shukan Shincho as
well USA TV magazine shows, ABC Network Eye On LA and the CBS Network, America
Show. Ferro's film and music personality collection includes such artists as David
Bowie, Reba MacEntire, Ringo Starr, and her actor/director son, Eric Etebari.
Photojournalism archives include Women In Film, Southern California Regional Rail
Authority Earthquake Emergency and produced and directed 30 min documentary"Through
Our Own Eyes, Self-Portrait by People Without Homes." As a feature photographer
for Los Angeles Magazine, Ferro photographed Arianna Huffington, Larry Gelbart,
Fred Otash and others. Her collections include self-portraits, Global Liberty
mixed-media, Bucks County, Pa, Film/Music and the ducks-in-a-row series.
As
President of Women In Photography International (2000-2011) Jean has brought a
high profile visibility to the organization and it's following with a strong sense
of social commentary and issues regarding women and freedom of expression. Hands
on involvement with the outreach for WIPI, Jean has juried, curated and designed
WIPI exhibitions and promotional material and is available for assignments, panels,
lectures and portfolio reviews.
