Having experienced many unusual things in my life I often find myself unable to communicate my thoughts and ideas in a normal manner with people. Being a self-portrait photographer has enabled me to visually exhibit my inner most hopes and fears. Since beginning my self-portrait work I have grown in many ways both as a photographer and as a woman. With each new photograph I learn something more about who I am and who I am becoming. It is terrifying putting a photograph out there for the world to see but it is far more frightening when it is a self-portrait. Although, I have become much stronger and wiser because of it. I hope that one day I will be able to grow into someone I am proud of... there are a lot of photographs that need to be made before that day comes!
