Diana Diriwaechter's Swiss education and traditional Swiss upbringing was practical and business oriented; however art in all its forms has always been a motivating factor in her life. In the US she chose special effects and computer animation as her career. After working for several years in advertising she landed a job at the academy award winning Blue Sky Studios. Working at Blue Sky Studios as a Senior Materials Technical Director on 3D animated motion pictures such as, "Robots", "Ice Age II & III","Horton Hears A Who" and the soon to be released "Rio" gave Diana a cinematic approach to photography. Since then the camera lens has become her tool of expression in portraits and landscapes.
