This is a fundraising event for WIPI's transfer to the Beinecke
Library at Yale University. ALL submissions will be included
on a DVD as well as the winning gallery selection. CELEBRATE
& JOIN US...we're off to college! Gallery online presentation
of juror choice online Friday, May 29th
7 categories to choose from:
SELFIES, FAMILY & FRIENDS, ANIMALS, OBJECTS, STRUCTURES,
SCENIC, COMBO.
This
will be WIPI's last competition until 2016 or beyond.

... what we see, how we interpret and share our lives, our
career with family, friends, the public and the art world
using digital cameras (digital SLR, point & shoot), cell
phones and tablets in 2015. (no old scanned work, please...images
shot w/digital equipment only).
What to submit? DIGITAL CAMERA, CELL
PHONE OR TABLET IMAGES ONLY
(no scanned film or scanned print work - strictly digital)
SIZE: medium, large or actual size,
b/w or color, actual image or artistically altered.
Digital camera size: 1000 pixels longest side, i.e. 1000 x
800 NOTE: Cell & Tablets, any size.
square or horizontal.
CHOOSE: images that reflect
your artistic, commercial or personal work. Images can be
fun, abstract, or serious, photojournalistic, newsworthy,
personal, spontaneous or planned...even blurry works! Either
straightforward or digitally enhanced through creative APP
programs, Photoshop or other creative software; color, b/w,
square, vertical, creative edges, color corrected, etc. ALL
good!
ENTER as many times, and as many categories as you would like.
Must be 18 years of age or older. Images will be copyrighted
to the person submitting.
JUROR will choose 11 images per category for individual categories
and 25 images from Cell/Tablet category, i.e. 102 images total
online gallery presentation with promotion on Facebook &
Twitter

FAMILY & FRIENDS
CHILDREN babies to teens, FAMILY gatherings, b'day parties,
events, multiple people or single portraits
ACTIVITIES
APPAREL: Clothing, shoes, upscale or grunge table settings,
EATING: plates of food,
FUN EVENTS:, parades, marathons, sports, vacations, business
meetings, spiritual gatherings.
ANIMALS
All ANIMALS: cats, dogs, birds, fish, snakes, rabbits, etc.
OBJECTS
UTENSILS: tools, dishes, sofas, chairs, furniture. SIGNAGE:
Fun signs, traffic intersections, street signs. TRANSPORTATION:
Cars, planes, bus, metro, train, bicycle. LIGHTS: lamps, string
lights, neon lights.
STRUCTURES
BUILDINGS: Office buildings, bridges, castles, farms,
studios,garages. DOORWAYS: gates, doors, open or shut, WINDOWS:
Open, closed, with or without curtains, HOME: All style exteriors,
houses, apartment buildings, doorways, windows.
SCENIC
LANDSCAPES:,
fields, mountains, water, sea, oceans. SUNRISE or SUNSET:
Dramatic, with objects or plain. MOON SCENES: Rising moon,
partial or full moon, setting moon FLOWERS: gardens, individual
flowers, TREES: all trees, winter, spring, summer, fall.
COMBO - DIGITAL CAMERA
COMBINE 3 images from different categories into one submission
- WIPI will select the category according to your content.
CELL PHONE & TABLET COMBO
ONLY (digital camera images use
category above)
COMBINE 3 images from different categories into one submission
for gallery presentation of cell and/or tablet images. WIPI
will group the images into similar sections from above for
the winning presentation and will have it's own category and
stand alone gallery of cell phone and tablet images. You can
enter both ALL digital & Cell/tablet. 2 fees will be required.
** If you have any problems w/the upload form, (first try
a different browser.. heard that CHROME may be difficult,
so use Safari or Firefox.
** If the problem above exists, please make your payment and
send your images to WIPI:
